Working version of Team RadioShack jersey (press release)
We wanted to say thank you for your support and give you a sneak preview of a working prototype of the jersey the guys will be riding in in 2010. While the final Jersey is expected to look very similar, it will be officially unveiled in Australia in January during the Tour Down Under. It was our goal this year to create something visually distinctive and a look that was symbolic of what we feel Team RadioShack is all about: cutting edge technology, speed, strength, determination and a global message to LIVESTRONG. The experts at Nike and our partners at RadioShack helped to create this fast form-fitting design using various textures and patterns symbolizing the themes of new technology, global connectivity and community. We think it looks pretty damn cool.
The guys are gearing up at training camp this week and will be riding in team colors for the first time. Stay tuned for more news and updates from the team as we get ready for the season kick off just a few weeks at the Tour Down Under!

Just start over- anything would be better
It look’s like a “strapless dress”.
That’s the prefect description.
Its pathetic ! “We think it looks pretty damb stupid” The jersey Lance wore in the Silvercity Clasic kicked ass, I actually use a picture of him with it on with my computer background. The Grays, the Yellows, with the Gears looks great, add a dash of Red, White, and Black for the Shack, a touch of Chrome for Nissan and its killer (using a spin off of the Silver City kit). The big red body center of this kit makes it look like a strapless dress top for gods sake. I’m a graphic artist and your focus group must have been infiltrated by freaking managment or something, get the artist back into the room and tell the peanut pushers to stay the F home……I stand by my remarks, PATHETIC ! “Plochman” http://www.promoplanet.biz
not very attractive. The grey is horrible.
Here’s the RadioShack jersey. What do you think? http://neilbrowne.com/2009/12/working-ve…
@neilroad Think new Team RadioShack jerseys look old and out dated just like Radio Shack http://twitpic.com/smh0r
@neilroad Any word if Chris “Pink pants” is at RadioShacks training camp? Wondering if he was able to get out of his Astana contract.
@neilroad problem is Cervelo have red grey and white, Omega have gone white red and dark navy – now the shack is similar
@neilroad It’s simple, I like it (and love the colors). Any clue as to the color of the shorts? Red too?
@loopybunny @neilroad I hope not red bibs. They’ll look like Cofidis, just what we need!
@neilroad The big red panel is definitely going to accentuate the guts of their out of shape fans.
@neilroad Jersey reminded me…You might be a good person, along with @lancearmstrong to retweet this: http://blog.charitynavigator.org/2009/11…
@neilroad I like it, but I thought there’d be a little more black somewhere in the jersey as contrast…
@neilroad Glad it’s just a ‘working’ version and not final. Fail….for now.
@neilroad There’s something odd about that jersey. Too much grey, not enough red, who knows? I do know it’s not right.
@neilroad Better than Columbia-HTC.
@neilroad All kidding aside, that is the worst pro jersey I have ever seen in my life.
@thomasafine You obviously don’t remember kits from the ’80s. Castorama ring a bell? Mullet optional http://tweetphoto.com/6044035
@neilroad I admit it. You win. Still, RatShack’s new jersey is one butt-ugly jersey. Even I could do better.
@neilroad @cyclingfans Actually could be a lot worse, just hope they don’t go Cofidis with the shorts.
@neilroad Team RS jersey will look better in yellow.
@neilroad Looks very 80′s. Not in a bad way.
Change the grey to either Livestrong yellow or black. The grey will be invisible in rainy weather or just like it’s dirty from road grime.
Hate the gray. How about all red with yellow? Very visible, easy to pick out of the peloton (would not look like other ProTour kits), and will drive a wave of bike purchase as people have to kit-match their stuff.
Sure looks better than Astana
The jersey looks alright….nothing earthshaking. I’m just pissed at Lance for having the nerve to look so young at his age! So the question is not about the jersey, the question is airbrushing or no airbrushing?
I would like to see more yellow. My suggestion would be to replace the gray shoulders with yellow and reverse the LIVESTRONG band on sleeve.
