Mark your calendar to ride the inaugural SLO Gran Fondo on October 23, 2010 along with members of San Luis Obispo-based Team HTC-Columbia. The popular ride formerly known as “Pedal to Pier” has moved to October and been expanded to become a Gran Fondo. The 2010 SLO Gran Fondo welcomes cyclists of all abilities to join members of the team and other guest riders while supporting Alpha, Inc, a local, nonprofit agency serving families in San Luis Obispo County.

Riders will be challenged by some of the world’s most beautiful terrain along the rugged coast of northern San Luis Obispo County. Participants may choose to ride one of three fully supported routes throughout San Luis Obispo County to suit everyone from the occasional rider to the seasoned competitor. Cyclists of all abilities will tour the diverse riding landscape that is home to Team HTC-Columbia, the world’s most successful cycling team.
