TourChats – Online Roadside Parties for Cycling Fans

Parties along the roadside, full of celebrations and uber fan characters, are a part of the bike race scenery whether you are attending in person or watching the action on your TV. TourChats create a virtual roadside party that anyone with an Internet connection can attend. Cycling fans are able to hangout and interact with other fans while they are at home (or at work) watching live streaming bike races.

Think of Browne Eye Media as the proprietors of an online sports pub where cyclists can raise their glass to cheer on favorite athletes, quirky characters and even countryside scenery. Another castle along the road? A chorus of “Drink!“ breaks out in the live chat. We create a virtual sports bar experience where they can cheer, express outrage and raise drinks together. The fun also includes trivia questions with prizes from sponsors.

In addition to live chats during races, we’ve now have a weekly video chat on Sunday evenings! We’re using new Vokle.com so we can have co-hosts and guests. Ask questions via webcam or text! Join Neil at 9PM Carolina time every Sunday with regular co-hosts Dan Wuori and JoE Silva!

We started producing live chats last year for Versus.com – with over 12,000 participants during the three weeks of the Tour de France. When funding was discontinued after the recent merger with NBC, we started producing them independently and got a great response to our sponsorship system (inspired by wpcandy.com).

Now that we have a weekly video chat our sponsorship options include monthly sponsors! To sponsor TourChats, choose an option in the sidebar on the right (starting at $5). Sponsors will be listed with a link to any websites or Twitter accounts provided. Click on the “Sponsor Live Chat” button and you will be taken to PayPal for payment options.
